Problems in marriage affect every aspect of your life. It's hard to concentrate at work, it's hard to act carefree around your children, and it's hard to put on a happy face with friends and relatives when you are unhappy and frustrated with your mate or xaakaaga.

"Yeah," "no," or "I could care less" are the only verbal responses you get.

The message from your spouse comes through loud and clear: "I'm not willing to make any effort to connect with you and I could care less about our marriage problems."

You realize that any attempt at conversation is like pulling teeth. You think to yourself, "I knew we had marriage problems, but this is quickly turning into a full-blown disaster.
